as a d1 tmnt nitpicker, i’m shocked to see im one of the only ones all for this. i think them doing this is proof that they’re gonna experiment more with tones within the franchise. i can genuinely see us getting a more mature tv show now. i mean, spider-man is doing it.

@SkylarCat4 I do agree however I think their very focused on ushering in a new audience for the franchise the last big generation for TMNT was the 2012 series
Rise and mutant mayhem/tales brought in new audiences too but not as much as 2012

...honestly I'm surprised this wasn't done before.
The Turtles were, in fact, trained from childhood to be ninjas in pretty much all continuities. So a preschool show focused on that time in their life is... actually pretty smart. Huh.

‘Teeny Mutant Ninja Turtles’, a new Nick Jr. digital series, will release on July 24th on the Nick Jr. YouTube channel. The series will consist of 30 four-minute episodes and follow the turtles’ early years as ninjas-in-training before becoming heroes.

Real ones know that this show is trying to be like Spidey & Friends but for TMNT. It worked out great for Spider-Man but got more kids into the franchise. Why not do the same for TMNT?

these tmnt designs are actually really solid. the skin tones are almost perfect. i love the hazel eyes for leo, idw vibes. raph with the snaggle tooth, slimmer build for don, even freckles for mikey. the gear matching ther signature colors works sm better bc they’re younger too.

I’d love for future TMNT adaptations to emphasize Donatello’s gentleness, compassion, and emotional intelligence as much as his genius. A calm, empathetic, peaceful, and thoughtful Donnie who brings more than just technology to the table would feel really refreshing for TMNT.
