@TMark133 @ByMHarrington Tage has discussed this thoroughly multiple times since the turnaround. Especially on Chicklets. It was a player leadership meeting after the Calgary road game that did it. Lindy even talked about it today at the presser. Players with Letters became leaders & led by example.

Jarmo excited about future of group. Called Lindy extension a “no-brainer”. Started talks in March in LA. Easy. Both he and Lindy are endorsing 3-goalie system. #Sabres

@BuffaloFreddy I think it takes most young dmen 3 or 4 years to learn and get comfortable playing in the NHL. I wouldn’t trade a talented young dman until he has been playing at least that long.

The Owen Power haters just don’t know puck or are judging his play at age 21. He’s 23 and close to a shut down D already when generally those monsters take 8+ years after drafted to be near their prime (See Victor Hedman). The argument that he doesn’t make big hits enough is shortsighted. He effortlessly separates players from the puck consistently without having to lay the boom & in doing so keeps himself healthier than others. He is 23! He is 23! He is 23!!!! Thrown into a role meant for vets since he was drafted. Nobody here can name two other defenseman w/ size his age that are better defensively that give you anything on the offensive side, let alone his breakout passes. The Dahlin & Power combo for the next 7 years will be pillars & the defensive envy of the NHL. #SabreHood #ByTheSword

@AdamVingan Good trade for Montreal. Carrier is a pretty reliable 5-6 defenseman who currently plays a bit higher in the lineup. However, you'd think being a defenseman that he'd have some toughness lol. He went down like a sack of potatoes anytime there was a scrum in the TB series :-).

Here is the only positive the Habs get from me. They are a franchise with a horseshoe up their collective asses. The exact opposite of the Leafs in this regard. Thoroughly outplayed in both rounds, but PDO off the charts and they get every important call. Deep down, they suck.

@JTripi16 @813Drew A lot of goals are the result of turnovers in the neutral zone. If Dahlin hadn’t turned it over, there is no Newhook shot in goal. It’s 100% on Dahlin.

@TMark133 @813Drew Dahlin tried to make a play at the blueline in OT. It didnt work but everyone was back. They gave up a low danger wrister from 40 feet & UPL flubbed it. That's not on Dahlin. Dobes was great. UPL wasn't. Dahlin was the best player on the ice the last 2 games by far.

We can hate on Dahlin all we want but you’d be absolutely lying to say he isn’t the best defenseman in the league right now. What a fucking player
