The draft tonight is pretty simple for the #Cowboys.
1. Land one of the following players:
Arvell Reese
David Bailey
Sonny Styles
Mansoor Delane
Caleb Downs
2. Find another starter on defense at pick No. 20 or around that selection.
If they manage to do that, tonight is a win.
Absolute Disaster:
Mintzy took on the Hot Chicken Challenge at Eugene’s Hot Chicken
He had 6 minutes to eat 6 of their “Fuego” wings without any sauce or drinks
(Bonus Footage: Mintzy blew his nose after 2 wings and got Fuego sauce in his eyes)
@cfrank1319@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi Definitely a possibility, just don’t see Dallas being a trade partner in that scenario. Obviously we need drastic improvements with personnel on defense that can contribute next season. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
@TNNC903@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi I’ll also add I think most are looking at this wrong from Cleveland’s perspective; I’m almost sure Cleveland wants picks NEXT year, not this year for 6/24.
Seeing a lot of new mock drafts this morning, including our own Mel Kiper’s, projecting the Browns trading back with the Cowboys. Kiper has 6 + 39 for 12 + 20 straight up.
I’ve been using the Rich Hill Trade Value Model, and I think 6 + 39 for 12/20/112 is pretty fair for Cleveland. Andrew Berry said last year he envisioned this draft would be stronger in the top 30 picks. This deal could be the sweet spot to attack needs strategically and avoid missing out after a run on a certain position.
@cfrank1319@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi I get what you’re saying from the Cleveland side, my original point was only that it doesn’t make sense for Dallas to give up 12 & 20 just for for 6 this year and another future pick. Too many needs on defense to justify that.
@cfrank1319@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi Completely disagree. The difference in draft value is equivalent to gaining an extra mid-2nd round pick by moving up from 39 to 20.
@TNNC903@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi That other first is no different than the 2nd they give up. Needing players and having no leverage are two wholly seperate arguments. The browns have the leverage here as it’s obvious the cowboys want a specific player.
@cfrank1319@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi They need starter quality players for a rebuild. Acquiring another 1st and another 3rd gives them more upside. We’ll see what happens.
@TNNC903@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi Cleveland doesn’t have leverage? lol. The browns don’t need more picks, they have a plethora of picks. They way 2027 premium picks.
@cfrank1319@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi 6+39= 2110
12+20+112= 2120
Also, agree with you on the premium but Cleveland doesn’t have a lot of leverage when they’re making it known they need more picks. And just at a quick glance it looks like Berry has only ever trade back once in the 1st kind, gaining 72 value points.
@TNNC903@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi That’s fair, but the team trading up usually pays a premium, not a discount on draft capital. Andrew berry isn’t just going to take a discount
@cfrank1319@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi My guy, be realistic. Dallas had a historically bad defense last year with a top 3 offense. They’re not trading up to 6 to not pick again until 92.
@cfrank1319@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi How would it make any sense for Dallas if giving up 12 & 20 didn’t include 6 & 39? The only other alternative would be for 6 & 70 which would be a horrible trade for Dallas.
@TNNC903@Primetime0077@DanielOyefusi I didn’t imply that at all. I simply said “if the deal can be done without 39…” the Browns have other picks beyond 39. I would not do 6/39 for 12/20 as the basis. I don’t think it makes any sense for the browns.
Lane Kiffin on the addition of the 9th SEC game starting this season:
"I don't think anybody, now that they've seen how (Playoff) selections have gone, thinks that there's value in that."
"10-2 is in, 9-3 is out."
"I was not a fan of it at all."
