TDOC, in partnership w/ Solano County Probation, hosted a 4-day Advanced Motivational Interviewing training for community supervision staff across TN - teaching advanced skills to strengthen interactions in the field and drive meaningful, long-term outcomes for offenders.

Adrian was arrested at 19 after returning from Iraq. After 12 yrs, he was released in 2023—and today, he’s thriving. A manufacturing engineer, husband, and father, he advocates for second chances, showing that w/ drive, support, & hard work, a #secondchance can lead to success.

Approx. 70 legislative interns visited the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution as part of their spring internship! The facility tour taught them about RMSI's operations & helped them gain a deeper understanding of the impact TDOC has on public safety and rehabilitation.

TDOC’s Victim Impact classes help inmates understand the harm their crimes cause. Offered at all facilities across the state, the class focuses on building accountability and responsibility—an important step toward reducing recidivism. #NCVRW #rehabilitation
