SNOW ALERT - 09/01/2026 Due to the weather conditions and safety of the site, we will be opening to all students for 9.45am - gates will be open from 9.35am.

Please note that Year 7 Tutor Review Meetings will take place on Thursday 15th January. On this day, the school will close early at 2:10pm to allow tutors time to meet with parents and carers of Year 7 students to discuss progress and provide individual feedback.

To celebrate Children in Need, Sixth Form Students successfully raised an incredible £115 for Children in Need through our popular Cake Sale! This is a huge achievement and a testament to the generosity and spirit of our Oakwood Community.

On Monday night Mr Blundell took a number of KS4 music students to see the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham. The performance was a recording on BBC Radio 3's Friday night is music night which will be aired on the 28th November at 7pm.

Last night, our School Council had the opportunity to present to Mr Gilbert and his leadership team. Their agenda centred around the current provision in the school canteen, highlighting key areas for improvement and discussion.

On 25th September, Oakwood Academy had the incredible honour of welcoming AS1ONE, the world’s first Palestinian-Israeli boyband, all the way from Hollywood, LA! The internationally acclaimed group wowed students with live performances of their hit songs. x.com/as1one_officia…

It was an honour for our PE Team to be nominated for the ‘Team of the Year’ Award by The Redhill Academy Trust and an even greater privilege to see them win on Friday night. Well done to Miss MacNaughton, Miss Fowkes, Mrs Cooke, Mr McNeill, Mr Truchet, Mr Molyneux and Mr Brooke.

The Oakwood Academy, part of Redhill Academy Trust, celebrated recent exam results this week. Well over half of students achieved the important benchmark of obtaining at least a grade 4 in Maths, English and Science. #RedhillTrust
