@RonEduard76@worldhockeyrpt Where did I ever say he relied on him lol? I said he helps drive play and get guys like Connor and Leon the puck. Both mcd and Leon’s GF% jump by 10% with Bouchard on the ice
@TQ_Iced@worldhockeyrpt Connor McDavid does not rely on Evan Bouchard to drive play hahahahahah buddy hahahahaha I’m done with this. That is hysterical
@RonEduard76@worldhockeyrpt Obviously his point totals will get better with mcd but if you look at the stats with and without bouch so does mcd’s bouch helps drive play and gets the big guys the puck. Bouch 100% had a better year lol.
@TQ_Iced@worldhockeyrpt We can do an analytics card off too here.
You cite goaltending hahaha but then ignore that he’s playing with the best player in the world and 3rd best thus inflating his point totals.
Buddy you’re jumping through hoops.
@RonEduard76@worldhockeyrpt You’re jumping through hoops trying to counter argue when I prove you wrong every time lol. Just ignore the better d stats and change the subject. Makars only a finalist because of name. He was on the best team and had worse stats than any other dmen in the convo
@TQ_Iced@worldhockeyrpt Do you not see the hoops you need to jump thru to make an argument for him to be in the top three here? Not even trying to troll
@RonEduard76@worldhockeyrpt He has the highest EVD and it’s not his fault Edmonton has by far the worst goaltending out of all of the other players listed. It’s bias against him. Better offence and defense than all three but dogshit depth and goaltending making his pk and goals against stats look worse lol
@TQ_Iced@worldhockeyrpt Few things here. You’re going to give Bouchard credit for playing the most minutes on the 20th PK in the league??? What???
Your tweet also referenced point totals. Again, if what you say was REALITY he’d win the Norris unanimously.
Again… you need to live in REALITY
@RonEduard76@worldhockeyrpt His EVD is also higher than everyone listed. Either way if it was a purely defensive award the run away favourite should be seider who also isn’t a top 3 lol
@TQ_Iced@worldhockeyrpt Show me please ya ding dong. If what you say were true he’d be the unanimous Norris winner given his point total.
Use your melon please
@worldhockeyrpt No because he’s very clearly not one of the best 3 in the world. Imagine what Dahlin or werenski would do on PP1 with Connor and Leon. You serious?
He also doesn’t play D or kill penalties like the others. I understand the karlsson argument but his 101 point season but it’s 2026
@parttime56@AzorcanGlobal And Edmonton went to the conference finals than b2b cups, slightly more hockey from them. They aren’t in the playoffs and Edmonton is, lack of time off clearly caught of with Florida and is seeming to with Edmonton. Not much of an excuse lol just part of the game.
The #Oilers look like a tired team, physically and mentally. McDavid is clearly injured. Drisaitl is coming of an injury and doesn't look 100% but his line with Podkolzin and Kapanen have been productive. Dickinson, who was brought in to be the 3rd C is injured.
1/4
@iamTRAPPlST@TopTierPucks I mean that’s just wrong lol, he had 4 points in games 4 and 5 in 2024 and had points past game 2 in 2025 lol. Now we just lying to try and prove a point??
McDavid with Stuart Skinner as his goalie: Made it to back to back Stanley Cup Finals
Crosby with Stuart Skinner as his goalie: About to get swept by Philadelphia
The goat debate is OFFICIALLY OVER
@iamTRAPPlST@TopTierPucks I mean now you’re just looping back lol, mcdavid has better stats in the finals than Crosby, that was my whole argument lol. You give mcd the same depth and goaltending he’d have 3+ already lol
@TQ_Iced@TopTierPucks You can say the same for McDavid yet he hasn’t won any cups. That’s the point. You cannot deny Crosby is a generational talent. You don’t get the production and success he’s had without accepting that. You’re in the minority if you think he’s just lucked his way to success.
@iamTRAPPlST@TopTierPucks Okay lol? So what about him getting his pockets run by SJ, he got hammered in 3/4 finals. Without malkin and the insane depth he had his whole career coupled with 9.30+ goaltending he wouldn’t have 3 cups plain and simple.
@TQ_Iced@TopTierPucks Detroit in 2008 was another level. Datsyuk and Zetterberg were out there shutting Crosby down at every opportunity. Osgood shut them out the first two games and could’ve been a Conn Smythe recipient. Same in 2009 (Detroit wins if Hossa shows up for the finals).
@iamTRAPPlST@TopTierPucks I’ll give you Nashville he was very good against them but in both the Detroit series and the SJ series he had points in 3 or less games equaling to 3 or less points and was a minus on the series at 5 on 5. His line got out produced and they still won. Quite literally bailed out.
@TQ_Iced@TopTierPucks They won the 2016 and 2017 cups in 6 games. Hardly “bailed out”. Why’d he win the Conn Smythes then and not Murray? Martin Jones (San Jose) had equally good numbers and 2 more shutouts in the 2016 playoffs than Murray. Neither of them were the best goaltenders in the playoffs.
@iamTRAPPlST@TopTierPucks I mean someone’s gotta score to win the game and he wasn’t lol, that coupled with 9.30 goaltending aggregate across the finals runs he was kinda sorta bailed out lol
@TQ_Iced@TopTierPucks Were you old enough to actually watch those finals? No one thought Crosby was “bailed out” by goaltending. He was the most dominant player on the ice. Wasn’t just relied on for scoring. Played against the other teams top lines in all situations. I’m not even a Pens fan.
@iamTRAPPlST@TopTierPucks You know mcd’s finals stats are better than Crosby’s right? Crosby got bailed out by insane depth and godlike goaltending runs lol, he shouldn’t have two smyths either but that’s another debate
@TopTierPucks McDavid had one goal in game 2 in the 2024 finals. 3 goals through 3 games in 2025. 0 goals in games 3-7 and 4-6 of the respective series. Yeah that’s GOAT material. Faded. Didn’t win. Crosby is 3/4 in the SCF. Two Conn Smythes, and not one undeservedly for losing.
@Pliableone@ZofiaSafin So what are they lol, one team made the playoffs and didn’t win a game when their star didn’t score the other didn’t make the playoffs and won games without help from their star. Is what it is. Mcd wins it
@TQ_Iced@ZofiaSafin There are. Theres been tons of the statistics thrown out over the last few weeks. McDavid is awesome and the best player alongside Sid. Mack has more of a claim on the Hart this year. Its pretty simple.
The Edmonton Oilers will officially end an 82 game season without recording a single win without a Connor McDavid point. Every single oilers win will involve a McDavid point. MVP
@Pliableone@ZofiaSafin I mean there’s no statistical evidence to back this claim up, oilers didn’t win a single game that mcd didn’t get a point in, the sharks did.
@TQ_Iced@ZofiaSafin Key word is the players value to his team. That makes even more of a case for Mack. He was far more valuable to his team than McDavid was to his. Oilers would have had more points without him that the sharks would without Mack.
@Pliableone@ZofiaSafin Hart is mvp which is directly related to the value provided to your team. I think cellebrinni had an unreal year but mcd was more valuable to his team🤷🏻♂️
