We are happy to acknowledge the support of the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden, Goa, for continuing the Community Based Marine Ecosystem Conservation Project in Goa.

The District Collector of Bapatla visited Ramapuram hatchery and reseed hatchlings to sea, in the presence of The District Forest Officer, Bapatla, and the TREE Foundation team.

Our triumph over stopping the trawler is the celebration of our being able to have moments like this - a little hatchling setting out to sea, protected by our STPF members from the moment it was laid in a deep nest to this moment, when it is ready to seek out its own life at sea.

On Feb 22, 2014, more than 800 turtles washed ashore dead. Since then, we have been conducting awareness programmes and workshops and working with the government across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha to reduce mortality of turtles. We commemorate the tragedy every year.

A School Education and Conservation Awareness Program on the Indian Giant Squirrel was held on 30 January 2026 at Sri Gopinath Bidyapeeth Motabadi, Baguda, Odisha, with 71 participants, including School staff, and students.

At the same event, TREE Foundation’s STPF members shared their experiences. The assembly was also addressed by our founder Dr. Supraja Dharini and Devendra Singh, Adhikari, Indian Coast Guard of ICG as well as Luvkush Malik, Fisheries Surveyor, Fisheries Department.
