@Steveloisda I don't know a lot about the inner workings of it but there hasn't been much wrong with the production line. Welsby, Robertson, Dagnall, Stephens all through to first team in recent years. I don't think anyone could stay competitive if they followed Rush's idea of 75% homegrown.

@TSBYQL19 It's a long term thing. Our development pathways have been pants for about a decade. Any academy player making the grade appears to be by accident. And those that do can't get a game

@pjwilson1990 @Andyjlyon @liam_hefc If there is a gameplan then it certainly places too much faith in Shorrocks. Another three years for him always felt like a cost cutting measure. Same with Murphy. Rocks and the very occasional diamond.

Which might be partly down to the fact that as you say recruitment still seems poor. But Rush was still there when most of them were signed so his departure is arguably accountability.

They can't please all of us. Was Rush leaving not a show of accountability? I think we've just recruited poorly.
