Slow, safe, sterile. Possession without bravery, shape without intent. It looked like a team afraid to take risks and a manager content to let things drift. Arne Slot must answer for that. So must Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards. They sanctioned this direction by not replacing this man when they should have, they backed this approach, they are every bit as culpable as the players that are producing these diabolical performances. I was told someone senior inside the club is unhappy with the things I’ve written this season. I’ll keep saying it as I see it, it’s the only way I know.
