So I just saw a post talking about writing advice and one author said to read 1,000 novels in a genre before attempting to write a book in that genre. 😳
I’m 55 and don’t think I’ve read 1,000 books in my lifetime. Is this realistic to most of you? Granted, I know I’m not the voracious reader that many are, but 1,000 seems excessive.

I have applied for at least 100 jobs over the past 8 months and have continually gotten rejected.

In 2016 Wikipedia erased the entry and said the Spanish and Mexicans committed genocide in California.

@anthonyzenkus While I think all wars are wrong and killing is wrong, all but one of the Medal of Honor recipients I knew were wearing a uniform, carrying a gun, and afraid for their life.
They all saved a bunch of lives in addition to killing people the politicians declared to be enemies.

@redwyrmofficial I have done the lazy approach of making "impossible" encounters and simply letting the first reasonably clever players character actions be the solution.
I concentrate on making it interesting and let the players finish creating the encounter.

Robin Hood was a monarchist and loyal Englishman. The problem wasn't the king, but the corrupt sheriff and clergy. His aim was to draw the attention of the king to the injustices committed in his name and be pardoned, which is what happened in the fables.
