@NeilDonohoe Yep, hated him for that at the time. But it was his asset to mortgage, he's a businessman ultimately. Would never have stopped the 49ers being able to buy out the mortgage, so the end result would have been the same, albeit a bit messier I'd imagine.

@LeedsUnitedENG I don't disagree, it obviously left a sour taste. But he's a businessman and Leeds were an asset to him, so it was his to leverage. Don't think it was ever going to be the case that the 49ers were buying without the stadium, so it was always coming back.

@TSSLUFC Overall he brought stability and turned us around from let’s face it heading back to league one most likely . But failure to back Bielsa , putting far too much trust in orta and then truth to remortgage the ground to buy Sampdoria shafted any good will he had with the fans

Since the start of February, Noah Okafor has the second best minutes per goal ratio across all of Europe's big-five leagues (one every 68 minutes), behind only Harry Kane (every 49 mins). #lufc

@Teamgiblet Yeah, that's the thing isn't it - you have to put sentiment aside if you want to push on and there's always going to be likeable players who don't make the cut.

@TSSLUFC Agreed, sad as he’s been a good player for the club over the years but just not prem level.

Ignoring outgoings completely and working on the basis we keep everyone we want to, where do we need to straighten next season to push on from here? #LUFC

@TimPatel86 I guess that's one of the areas of expertise that overlap with NFL, so it makes sense. Can't fault them too much so far, they seem to have concentrated on what they know and hired for what they don't. That's good management in any industry.

@TSSLUFC I know the 49ers invested heavily in the medical department and it’s paying off. I think Farke eluded to it recently when he described it as CL level

Stands to reason that all the extra fixtures would result in more injuries, but they also tend to have bigger squads, so you're going to have more injuries as a result of that anyway.

Seen this viz from @Transfermarkt doing the rounds today. Ive just gone through and highlighted all the teams in Europe this season. Make of that what you will.

@TSSLUFC We’ve lost too many times from winning positions this season so a quality keeper should be a priority.

@SirMontgomery1 I bet it he could turn back time he'd have done exactly that, but it must be hard to walk away from something you've put so much energy into, just as things seem to be paying off.

@TSSLUFC If he sells up with us 9th and the 49ers can get their wallets out for Bielsa to push us to Europe, he’s a hero Hubris I would say Hubris and fucking Victor Orta

@perfectunion24 It's a fool's game buying any football club, so to have the balls to take on one like Leeds, risking your family's fortune in the process, knowing the fans are going to expect results and only ever wanting to blame you when it goes wrong. It's a tough gig. And a thankless one.

@TSSLUFC Was a bit of a walloper but deserves all the credit in the world for giving us Bielsa

@PhilHay_ Ampadu for me, he's the beating heart of this team. But Stach and Gudmundsson would be up there. Always look better with Rodon on the pitch as well and Okafor is obviously worth a mention too.

To even have the audacity to go after Bielsa in the first place from the position we were in remains absolutely ridiculous. Provided some of the best memories I have as a Leeds fan.

Honestly, if he'd sold a little sooner and Bielsa's reign didn't end the way it did, we'd probably be naming something after him.

@1882md It's because the red line is ahead of the green line 👍 Sarcasm aside, I thought he was on in real time.

That backheel from DCL was something else, right? Had nowhere to go, I was hoping he could get a free kick or throwing out of it at best.

@PhilHay_ As a fan of the club who brought in a fortune teller to lift a gypsy curse, and having lived through the near-constant misery of your previous spell, I'm a bit worried about your return. 😬😂
