UPDATE ON THE $BADAI LP ISSUE On April 7, 2025, we announced that we identified potentially suspicious transactions on the BadAI LP Vault. After carefully investigating, we would like to provide an update on exactly what happened and how it is being remedied. What happened The LP exploit was caused by a rogue dev who took advantage of privileged access to the FlokiFi deployer wallet. This dev was hired through Toptal, one of the largest talent-sourcing platforms in the world. His engagement was also being managed through Toptal until the exploit. Toptal has been in business for 15 years now and earns an estimated $1.3 billion in annual revenue, according to some sources. Their terms strictly require companies that work with their devs to manage contracts and agreements with talents through the Toptal platform, and one of the key selling points of their platform is that devs are thoroughly vetted. This dev has worked with us for two years and exhibited no sign of malicious intent during this period. However, we got alerted to certain transactions involving the BadAI LP on the FlokiFi deployer wallet on the 7th of April. Upon further investigation, we discovered that he had managed to bypass our internal processes to push an update to FlokiFi Locker that gave the deployer privileges to retract LP locks made to upgradeable vaults. He then abused his privilege to the deployer to remove a portion of the BadAI LP on the 7th of April. We want to note that the changes this rogue dev made and his abuse of privilege only affected a portion of the BadAI LP, and we took immediate action upon realizing his actions: - We immediately renounced access from the affected deployer address to FlokiFi Locker. - We froze the platform so that no new locks can be made on the affected chain until our investigation and a thorough review of the platform is complete. - We are strengthening our internal processes to add checks and balances to reduce the likelihood of a rogue dev being able to have this kind of impact in the future. How we're remedying the situation We take the faith that partners and projects that trust in us or use our products put in us very seriously. We acknowledge the impact of this incident and are taking all necessary steps to support affected parties and strengthen our systems. We will be reimbursing the BadAI team with 100% of the value of the affected LP at the time of the exploit. We have also committed to giving them an extra amount of funds as full and final settlement/compensation to mitigate the impact of the incident on BADAI's operation. Legal process ongoing In addition to the above, we have instructed our lawyers to immediately engage with the Toptal team since the dev was hired and managed through their platform. Our lawyers are also initiating engagement with local law enforcement in an effort to bring this rogue dev to book for his actions. We reserve all rights and remedies under the law and are monitoring developments as they unfold.

We have identified potentially suspicious transactions on the BadAI LP Vault. The issue did not originate from BADAI's protocol or infrastructure. Precautions are being taken to enhance security. We are investigating the situation and more details will be shared soon.
