Going to be feeding whole milk to calves this year, what are people's thoughts on this?

60 weaned Aln Angus bull calves on kale/beet/silage through to spring.

Nitrogen, not just helping to feed people but feeding the soil as well. But hey, let's slap a carbon tax on it...

@DarraghScott I've found my calving rate has dropped blaming the extra lim I'm using alongside sexed dairy currently 60 cows behind previous years

30 replacement heifers from 100 sexed straws and a ball of late calvers to boot. What a waste of money and effort. Back to conventional this year

@davidkerr67 Maybe they were short of volenteers!! I don't yield record but after a few tests we were able to identify high scc cows from being at the too of the list regularly even if the actual number was a bit vague
