It was a tough year for the Herd in those clutch moments. In men's soccer, basketball, and softball, they all had the chance to dictate their own fates in the last game or series of the conference regular season, but unfortunately, they all fell short.

Marshall being one of four schools with an athletics-wide jersey patch sponsor is significant, no doubt. But teasing what’s essentially a sponsorship agreement as a “major announcement” the day before? Not so much. That set expectations way too high and left people disappointed.

Minor correction here, this is the second deal in the Sun Belt. ULM previously inked an agreement Samaritan's Purse to add its logo to the school's football jerseys.

Source: Marshall has agreed to a five-year deal with the Marshall Health Network that will see the company's logo appear on all Thundering Herd jerseys.
The deal, brokered by Learfield, is the first jersey patch agreement in the Sun Belt and 11th nationally.
