@ShelbyCHilliard What it takes (as ironic as it may be) for the page you're looking at to be updates: is an NCAA intern just needs to reload that specific page with new stats. Its one input but almost certainly controlled by someone completely different than he/she who updates the stats.

@ShelbyCHilliard I think that's the main NCAA page but if you go to stats.ncaa.org you can sort by a lot more than what you see there (including previous dates of stat releases) GUI is a bit less visually appealing but its much more useful for numbers:

We gotta have a conversation about the @NCAA stat page for softball constantly being a day+ behind on stats. The lack of give a damn from the top makes it hard for us who do give a damn to do our jobs.

@Pottsea_ I see the target audience point and did originally. The issue is they all entered around the same time so kinda like @DJTJRL said, you’d be asking arguably both of the leagues listed last to either dissolve or completely overhaul without the financial incentive to do so.

I think it’s time to discuss the oversaturation of collegiate leagues. For our scene to step forward, I think that it’s important we trim the fat. We have some directionless leagues, and when teams get spread the competition is harder to follow and value is diminished.

@Pottsea_ You could argue to limit team participation to strengthen the leagues that the top teams participate in. That would bolster the reputation of the leagues that the best teams consistently choose. There’s little incentive for teams/schools to compete less without the travel factor

@Pottsea_ Cannot disagree enough. Traditional sports have filtered competition down from conference in NCAA D1 all the way down to D3 and NAIA for schools who aren’t investing as heavily. Every league isn’t going to be best of the best because then they would oversaturate the talent pool

@Josh_Ayen Only reason it exists in Men’s CBB is because they play halves where that scale of time and amount of fouls would warrant it. You’d have to find a different amount of fouls to set B/B+ numbers at especially with 8 minute quarters.

@chris_babb @JoePottOnAir @RandymoVoice @SIUE Mostly because every time you go “you’re watching SEC Baseball on ESPN+/SECN+” you draw a correlation between your broadcast and the conference. At that point it should certainly be *remotely* neutral. Even if you’re saying “you’re watching Aggie baseball on SECN+” it applies

@chris_babb @JoePottOnAir @RandymoVoice @SIUE This also speaks to the limitations of collegiate athletics unfortunately. Up until last year SIUE did basketball at home on both radio and E+ simulcasted, and away games on radio. I think there HAS to be some balance if you’re the TV feed. Especially in conference
