May 1 is almost here! ⏰ If your plans have changed and you will not be attending Texas Tech this fall, be sure to cancel your 2026–2027 housing contract before the deadline to receive your deposit refund. Do not wait until it is too late. Take a minute now and get it done.

Students not attending Texas Tech in the fall must cancel their 2026-2027 housing contract by May 1 to receive a deposit refund.

This is not an April Fools’ prank. Take care of it now and avoid charges later. Submit a FixIT request during April and minor repairs may qualify for a damage fee waiver. It’s a quick step that can save you money at Tech-Out. Submit by April 30.

TechAlert! Winter Weather – In-Person Activities Canceled This is an important notification from Texas Tech University. Due to ongoing winter weather and widespread area closures, all in-person classes, events and activities on the Texas Tech campus in Lubbock are canceled Tuesday, Jan. 27. This includes TTU System Administration. Only essential personnel will report to campus as directed by a supervisor. Online classes and operations will continue as scheduled. In-person activities will not be moved to an online format.
