Isle of Wight East MP @JoePJRobertson has been appointed to the Beyond Midlife Commission, set up by the @csjthinktank tasked with finding solutions to the number of people over-50 out of work. He told That's TV why this is an issue he wants to focus on.

"It was such a shock I think I cried." A Southampton Mum has won two top awards after helping families save for Christmas to enjoy the festive season worry free. Mum of four Clair Brading beat 22,000 other Park Christmas Saving Agents to receive the awards in Liverpool.

"We need people's input." Residents in Fareham are being consulted on plans to regenerate the town. The proposals costing £125 million are available for public perusal and comment on Sat 14th Mar in Fareham Shopping Centre and are also available online until 13th Apr.

"It's a very contested topic." An exhibition showcasing engaging the community in Gosport with discussion around tea is on in Your Space. It's the final part of the Lottery Heritage funded project 'Gosport Let's Have a Brew' and will be on until the 20th of March.

"Still working and enjoying what I'm doing." Romsey Art Group's annual art exhibition is being held at Romsey Town Hall on Sat 14th Mar and will raise funds for Romsey Young Carers. Along with art from novices to professionals there will also be live demonstrations.

"Remember how we are together in unity." An Afrobeat performance concluded a ceremony in Portsmouth for Commonwealth Day. Celebrating the Commonwealth's rich heritage Olakunle Agu brought smiles and movement for his second year representing Nigeria.

"I'm so honoured to represent Portsmouth." Flags raised outside the Civic Offices for Commonwealth Day included those from Australia, Bangladesh, Malta, Nigeria and Pakistan recognising shared values and long standing connections linking the city with others around the world.

"Celebrating what unites us." @portsmouthtoday marked Commonwealth day with civic flag raising. Around 50 people attended the ceremony with the theme ‘Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth.’

"Really just a Movember that went on too far." A young man working in Gosport is being seen about town sporting a handlebar moustache. The twirled up moustache is generally referred to as a handlebar for it's resemblance to bicycle handlebars.

"Take to the ships." Churches and schools are collecting Easter Eggs to give to hundreds of seafarers. The Easter Egg appeal by charity Stella Maris will enable Chaplains and volunteer ship visitors to deliver the Easter treats to sailors unable to take shore leave.

"Alongside our local artists we've got the children's competition." Cat Masks have been coloured by toddlers and Cat Art created by infant school children as part of the Purr-spectives Art Exhibition at ‘Your Space’ raising funds for Cats Protection Gosport

"Breathing new life into our whole town centre." Core landscaping is beginning for Phase One of the People's Park, Gosport costing just over £2million following the demolition of the former 53 year old bus station building and it's hoped to be a catalyst for regeneration.

"Well done Katie... Very proud of you." The MD of @STSDefence has personally congratulated one of their apprentices for winning them awards. They won 'Employer of the Year' at the South Hampshire College Group awards and Katie Cumming won 'Engineering Apprentice of the Year'.

"They give their time, energy and everything." The Mayor of Gosport has shared how in awe of the volunteers in the town she has become since taking up office. Cllr Kirsten Bradley told That's TV the town will be holding a Community Day on the 11th of April to celebrate them.

"It does bring a lot of tears to those people." A project begun over a year ago in Portsmouth is soon to expand to other cities. Island City Voices was started by Habibur Rahman an AV Journalist for @portsmouthnews The answers on the phone resonate around the world.

"We run a couple of free networking events every month." The Lark Network CIC, helping business women in Portsmouth, will be running digital inclusion workshops. They've just received a grant from CityFibre to enable them to host ‘Three Steps to Digital Confidence’.

"Each year we hear success stories. The 6th annual Portsmouth & South Coast Business Week has launched bringing together 20 free to attend events across Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport and Havant. @hantschamber has encouraged over 1,000 businesses to network and collaborate.

"People dipping in and out." Volunteers with the Reviving Victoria Park project in Portsmouth made a difference to uncovering the history of the park and how people interact with it. Although the £2.9m @HeritageFundUK project is finishing volunteering roles are still available.

"With all the books, enjoying it." North Baddesley Community Library regularly raise funds at Romsey Corn Market by selling books and jigsaws to continue their entirely volunteer run and community funded service. New books in their collection are acquired from donations.

"We are with that family for the rest of their lives." Greyhounds from independent re-homing charity Greyhound Life will be in Portsmouth on Sat 7th Mar. Run entirely by volunteers, the charity arrange outings for the retired racers to be seen like every Friday at Parklife.
