@scott23192 Very nice observation and impressive that you still were able to decode a frame out of this apparent 90° elevation pass!

Likely my last TUBIN pass as ALT gets lower. Very strong 592-byte (!!!) frames downlinking as hard as the sat can send them! Doppler 'curve' less of a curve... almost square corners.

(5/5) Any decoded frames, audio recordings or reception reports are very welcome. Telemetry can be submitted using our SiDS server, for everything else please reach out: radio.space.tu-berlin.de/telemetry/send Please note that the URL for the server was recently changed.

Some visible imagery decoded from @TUBspace's TUBIN satellite on X-Band, received by @redplanet00 as it was downlinking to Berlin! The format is not very robust unfortunately, but the satellite appears to transmit quite often in QPSK ~12M, so pretty easy to receive.

@n6rfm Currently BEESAT-1 is only operated via our main ground station in Berlin, Germany. That could change in the future, have you a request for a specific area? Then we maybe could arrange something.

@TUBspace Congratulations!! Any plan for telemetry to be downlinked outside of Tubin GS footprint?

First light for BEESAT-1 🛰️📷 In the past 2 months, the camera payload of #BEESAT-1 has been successfully commissioned, 15 years after launch. Attitude control is currently limited to the magnetorquers pending reaction wheel tests, but nevertheless we captured some nice images!

@rowancrowe Yes during the #BEESAT-1 Reborn project our students from @StudOps analyzed the telemetry anomaly ending nominal operation in 2013. Since last week it is now considered operational again, but various subsystems have to be recommissioned. @TUBspace I initially interpreted "recovered" as it arrived back on earth (somehow), but I think you mean that it's still in orbit, and has sprung back to life? Wow! Wikipedia page needs updating :)

Happy 15th anniversary #BEESAT! Launched in 2009, operated until 2013, recovered in 2024. This morning we successfully powered up the sun sensors and magnetometers for the first time in over 10 years! Telemetry looks good so far as we continue checking the state of the satellite.

@n6rfm @StudOps Activating the downlink outside of Europe is a bit trickier for us right now because of the lack of ground station coverage. It should be possible, but we'll need some time to get to know the satellite a bit better. We can try to make this happen later down the line though.

@TUBerlin's first #CubeSat, #BEESAT, will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in space tomorrow on September 23rd. Launched in 2009, it operated successfully past its design lifetime until an anomaly occurred in 2013, preventing the downlink of telemetry... until a few days ago!
