Contract sizing is meaningless "You suck if you use micros" "2 micros is all you need" Nonsense. All of it. ALL THAT MATTERS is your $ risk If you're taking an $ES trade w/a $500 risk limit... • 3pt stops = 3 ES • 10pt stops = 1 ES • 50 pt stops = 2 MES The amount of contracts is meaningless Some of my trades have 5-10x the amount of contracts as others... With roughly the same $ risk. It just depends on stop width. Anyone is telling you to focus on anything other than $ risk, is worried more on appearance than actual trading.
