Transport workers risk their lives everyday to keep our country moving, and the Amazon effect makes it more dangerous by the day. I support the @TWUAus campaign for safe rates and industry-wide minimum standards.

The TWU is proud to announce the commencement of construction on WA's $50 million truck bays and amenities project. Thank you to all the transport workers who fought for this project, as well as the DoT and State Government for funding this much-needed revamp.

The inflation figures show the worst real pay cut for workers this century. Workers face a real pay cut of nearly $2000 in the first half of this year. That’s four time worse than the Morrison govt told us just one month ago in the budget.

At 5.1% CPI, and wages growth at 2.3%, the gap is now 2.8%.

This morning I met with transport workers in Perth. Their industry has seen a big increase in gig and contract work where these workers do not get basic rights, not even the minimum wage. Govts must step up and fix this

Due to increased accessibility and usage of Rapid Antigen Tests, the Forrestfield Road Train Assembly Area PCR Clinic will be closed from 3pm this Friday, the 11th of March. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms and have been in contact with a positive case, take a RAT test.

The TWU has been fighting to increase the protections for drivers against COVID-19. Now, bus routes are being cancelled because drivers are too sick to go to work.
