If there is ever a social phenomenon that needs to be studied, it is how the GOP has been able to hoodwink people for decades into thinking that they the party of “fiscal responsibility” when there is absolutely ZERO evidence to support that claim.
And I mean ZERO.

CBO says the Senate Republicans' new reconciliation bill will increase deficits by $71.7B over the next 10 years. That's what the bill costs, so that makes sense. cbo.gov/system/files/2…

The Elias complaint is dense but three moments in the record do the most work.
One: Poreda admitted on the record to using partisan data across the entire map. The Governor's attorney, Mo Jazil, was then asked whether the map's legal justification depended on the Florida Supreme Court striking down the Fair Districts Amendment in its entirety. He confirmed it did. That is not a legal theory any court has adopted. That is the plan's admitted foundation.
Two: The efficiency gap. The 2012 Florida plan was struck down as unconstitutional with a 7% pro-Republican efficiency gap. The 2002 plan that inspired the Fair Districts Amendment had a 9% gap. The 2026 plan has a 21% gap - the largest pro-Republican efficiency gap of any state with 15 or more congressional districts ever recorded.
Three: The evening after the map was presented to the Legislature, the Florida Secretary of State posted a tribute to Elbridge Gerry - the namesake of gerrymandering - on X. DeSantis's communications director retweeted it with a laughing emoji.
They are not hiding what this is. The lawsuit is in court. The question is whether Florida state courts will enforce the constitutional amendment Florida voters passed by a 25-point margin to prevent exactly this.

It’s hard to imagine a valid basis for a grand jury subpoena seeking names of Georgia election workers when it is issued beyond the five-year statute of limitations.

Cry more. The 5-year clock doesn’t mean we forget the stolen election or let Fulton County workers off the hook for whatever shady shit went down.
DOJ is finally investigating — names, contacts, the works. Transparency isn’t “harassment.” Hiding behind expired statutes while Americans lost trust in elections? That’s the real crime.
2020 fraud won’t stay buried. Trump’s DOJ is on the job. Sit down.

More states need to do this: Delaware Governor Meyer signs executive order creating election security task force. "If the federal government tries to interfere in our elections, we will do whatever is necessary to ensure that the people of Delaware can exercise their most sacred right."
