Moyle Park Transition Year

Last week our @moylepark TYs visited Dáil Éireann. Students toured Leinster House, observed the Dáil chamber and learned how laws are debated and passed in Ireland. A fantastic opportunity to see democracy in action and deepen their understanding of civic leadership!

Our @moylepark TYs took part in Ecology & Biodiversity workshops with @ECOUNESCO last week. The interactive sessions explored sustainability, ecosystems and biodiversity. A great opportunity for students to reflect on how they can protect biodiversity locally and globally!

It was a lovely way for TY students to round off the term @moylepark before heading off on their work experience placements. Well done to all involved!

Our @moylepark TYs visited 'EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum' yesterday. The interactive museum explores the story of Irish emigration & Irish identity through exhibitions & multimedia displays. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and engaged really well.

Best of luck to all our @moylepark TYs as they head off on work experience from the 3rd to 13th Feb. This is a valuable opportunity to gain first hand experience of the world of work, develop key skills and explore possible future career pathways. Best of luck to all!

Twelve of our @moylepark TYs took part in the Rubbish Film Festival this week, working with a professional film maker to create a short film focused on environmental issues. A brilliant experience that developed creativity, teamwork and digital skills. Well done to all involved!

A group of @moylepark TY students visited the @civictheatre today to support their classmates in the Tenderfoot programme. We were incredibly proud of our students & thoroughly impressed by the performances on stage. A fantastic celebration of the hard work & talent shown by all!

The @civictheatre Tenderfoot programme wraps up this week, with our @moylepark TY students engaging brilliantly throughout. Over three weeks, the programme supported students in developing confidence, creativity and collaboration. A hugely positive experience for all involved!

Huge congratulations to the wonderful cast & crew of Sister Act Jr @moylepark @Colaistebride on their fantastic performances over the past three nights! Memories to last a lifetime! Well done to all from the entire @moylepark community!

We would also like to thank @Colaistebride for inviting us in on this joint production and for hosting the musical. Their support and collaboration were greatly appreciated and helped make the experience such a positive one for all involved. Well done to all students involved!!

From performances on stage to all of the behind the scenes work, students threw themselves into every aspect of the show with real enthusiasm and pride. Their dedication played a central role in making the musical such a memorable experience for everyone involved! @moylepark

And just like that the @moylepark & @Colaistebride TY musical is officially over and out - what a success it was! After weeks of rehearsals & preparation, our TY students delivered an outstanding production of 'Sister Act Jr.' that showcased their talent, teamwork & commitment.

What a wonderful and enjoyable evening! Congrats and thanks to all involved in bringing Sister Act Jr to the stage. A great night for Clondalkin -working with @Colaistebride -what talent! We are very proud.

It takes a village to put on such a successful show! Thank you to all who worked behind the scenes from student helpers, Parents' Council, staff, caretakers, cleaners, first aiders, supervisors, front of house, raffle, programme, tuck-shop, design, sponsors, donors of prizes etc.
