I watched a video on quantum immortality about a week ago. One idea and its implications that I can't stop thinking about: You can not observe your own death. You approach the limit of observation of your own demise, but you can't actually do it... Anymore than you observe the moment you fall asleep. You feel yourself drift, then wake up, but you can't observe the moment you fall asleep. Without diving into QM (a subject I only have an undergraduate level of understanding of anyway), if you can't observe something, it exists in every potential state until you do. The famous double-slit experiment is a great demonstration of this principle. This has really been messing with me.
