they’ll keep going out sad bc coach & front office simply don’t want to establish hierarchy, only time it was established was in ‘22, hierarchy doesn’t matter when you have an extremely talented roster like ‘24, under mazzulla they lose in unconventional ways bc of it ‘23 & ‘25

“He was really good on those UNC teams. I had the opportunity to play against him, he was unstoppable. They went to him every time; he was extremely strong. Tyler Hansbrough, he was relentless and in college, that relentless type of attitude works. In the NBA, you kind of got to have a little more skill and I just don’t think Tyler Hansbrough had the skill.
He also didn’t have the athleticism that the bigs had that he was going up against. And so in turn, I just don’t think it translated as well. Don’t get me wrong, Tyler Hansbrough still had a respectable NBA career, It just didn’t turn out to be who he was at North Carolina.
No one in the NBA was just going to throw Tyler Hansbrough the ball and say, ‘Go get us a bucket.’ It wasn’t fluid enough, it was too rugged. It was, ‘Ah, I’m going to go through you.’ Just ultimately, he didn’t live up to what he was in college and maybe people were expecting from him. But in this NBA, you have to play a role. Unless you’re Steph Curry or LeBron James, you must play a role and that’s kind of what happened.”

Tatum needs a high IQ center like Luke or a pick and pop center. He keeps trying to force the ball to Queta in a scoring position and its just not his game.

@BackupHangman Think Joe needs to use him more in the mid post area as he is trying to gain his game legs. Not having game legs and trying to initiate everything from the perimeter is not good hoop. Lol

Gotta see him next year after a full offseason first. I will say it wouldn’t surprise me if he follows the KD timeline where he’s still elite (but not quite pre injury form) for a few seasons before beginning to drop off. It’s Jalen Brown’s team rn for sure though.

@BackupHangman Root cause of his issues have been rhythm related and how the team is deciding to use him. He’s shown flashes of when he’s more so like himself in spurts but then looks winded as he starts to get it going.
