@LuckLegends @effortfuleduktr Also being the adult in the room means not taking student behaviors personally. Student behavior is normally not a reaction to you or about you at all. Many behaviors are just little moments you can turn into a relationship building opportunity.

@effortfuleduktr You’re the adult in the room. Be kind, be patient, be warm. Be yourself - be human. Get to know your students - you can’t learn if you can’t trust. Have fun, and let them have fun - nobody learns when they’re miserable. Ask questions and listen. Be imperfect and okay with it.
