@YardbwoyG 12 shots and 3 on target with 71% possession is surely an unacceptable return for any team. The balls into the box seem aimless. Set pieces are routinely awful. If we break forward often we slow it down and pass backwards and sideways.

@TableFootball I hope this doesn’t come off as rude but I do think it’s funny how many fans equate missed chances as no chances lol. You guys routine create clear chances vs teams who “sit in” and your strikers miss them. How does that mean you look clueless? Genuinely asking.

Another wasted opportunity to make the gap to 3rd bigger. We look completely clueless when teams sit in. I don’t know what we do to sort it out #Boro

I don’t usually post such personal stuff. I was 17 when I contracted meningococcal septicaemia. Spent a week in a coma. Recovering mentally from it is an ongoing thing. I do hope the kids in Kent get the help they need so they’re not struggling with the fallout their whole lives.

@DocPriyamMD I had meningococcal septicemia when I was 17. I went from the classic symptoms to life support in less than 12 hours. Induced for a week. Couple more weeks recovering in hospital to be well enough to leave, but it’ll be a lifetime of gradual recovery. An awful, robbing illness.

The "Headache" that kills in 24 hours.🧵 As a doctor, this is the one diagnosis that genuinely scares me. Bacterial Meningitis doesn't give you days to "wait and see." It gives you hours. By the time you realize it's not just a flu, it’s often too late. 👉Stop scrolling and memorize these 3 clinical red flags: 1. The Fused Neck: This isn't a "stiff muscle" from sleeping wrong. If you have a fever and literally cannot touch your chin to your chest - that is Nuchal Rigidity. It’s an emergency. Period. 2. The "Glass Test" Rash: If you see tiny purple pin-pricks on the skin, press a clear glass firmly against them. If the spots don't fade/disappear under the glass, your blood is leaking. That’s Septicemia. Run to the ER. 3. Agonizing Photophobia: It’s not just "bright lights are annoying." It’s a physical, painful wince at a smartphone screen or a bedside lamp. 👉How to actually stay safe? 1. Mask up in crowds: It’s a respiratory drop infection. If there’s an outbreak in your school/hostel, a mask is your best friend. 2. Stop sharing everything: Vapes, spoons, water bottles, cigarettes. If their saliva is on it, the bacteria is on it. 3. Hygiene: Wash your hands like your life depends on it. 4. Vaccines: Check your records for MenACWY/MenB when you have a minute. It’s the ultimate insurance policy.

@Boro_Breakdown If putting him on the bench means Edmundson is out of the squad altogether I’d be happy with that. The greater good.

@BBCTeesSport Did well to eventually get into a winning position against anti-football for 65 minutes, but bringing Edmundson on to ‘see the game out’ was always going to be horrific decision. He’s dreadful. Missing 3 sitters didn’t help either.

They came so close to finally beating them, but Middlesbrough are now winless in nine games against Bristol City. #Boro | #UTB | #BBCFootball

@Boro Strelec, Conway and Browne missing sitters and Edmundson with suicidal defending has cost us. Absolutely raging.

HT: Middlesbrough 0 Bristol City 0 - an all-too-familiar tale so far. #Boro have had 70% possession, but only recorded their first shot on target in stoppage time, an effort from McGree that was saved. Chances aren't being missed so far today - they're not being created.

@danamalt Loads of stat padding going on again tonight. Missed opportunities. Sideways passing. No penetration. It was horrible to sit through.

@untypicalboro It’s too slow and passive. Theres nobody willing to take a chance and have a shot from 20 yards. Nobody willing to sling a ball into the box to cause chaos. Side to side. Blocked crosses. Eye of the needle stuff. I doesn’t work against a low block.

FT: 0-1. Frustrating, cut-and-paste low block #Boro blundering. All the possession, loads of chances, hit the bar & lots of late flailing but still haven't found a way with guile or brute force to get past the tactical trenches and barbed wire. Still, Bristol City next... #UTB

@Benjaminbloom It depends how you frame in. 6 wins in a row and then 3 without a win sounds particularly negative. 1 defeat in 10, against the league leaders, sounds far more positive.

@untypicalboro McGree was head and shoulders above anybody else on the pitch. It’s a real shame that we can’t rely on him to turn in anywhere near enough performances over the course of a season to make a real impact.

On the plus side, #Boro didn’t lose. And that is the first goal conceded at Riverside in 2026. McGree looked lively too. #UTB

@BBCTeesSport I don’t really like to single players out, but I’m not sure what Strelec offers. Physically weak and absolutely nowhere near good enough at the moment. Playing with 10 men when he came on.
