Today, we cut the ribbon on the new Stockton Street Bridge. It’s part of the McCoys Creek Restoration Project, one of Jacksonville’s most significant infrastructure investments that is deepening the channel, rebuilding the floodplain, and connecting it to the St. Johns River.

Good design lets the positive impact of public investments spread far and wide. The Stockton St Bridge not only replaces a crossing in a long disinvested neighborhood, it increases connectivity, improves walkability and reduces flooding on McCoys Creek. Great work by the team!

What a view from our beautiful new Bridge! It not only alleviates flooding in the area but also has new elevation, sidewalks, and bike lanes. Thanks so much to our incredible Public Works team and to Groundwork Jacksonville for making this project a reality and improving infrastructure for residents in the nearby neighborhoods.
