For their Survival Skills badge, the Scouts prepped pigeon to make pigeon fajitas for dinner #SkillsForLife

Cubs prepped their own beany stew and baked potatoes. Having marshmallows while they wait for it to cook. #SkillsForLife

Cubs parents: so sorry. I've never seen Cubs manage to get so filthy on camp. They found so much mud. Pre-warn the washing machine! 😳

We got the Knife Skills badge from the Swedish Scout Association so we ran a bushcraft knife skills workshop: law, danger zones, how to unsheath & sheath knife safely, learning how to hold the knife to control the cut in the wood. #SkillsForLife

Scouts had a great time in the woods under tarps last night. Bacon or sausage sandwiches for brekkie. #SkillsForLife

Cubs had a great time shooting a few arrows

Morning! The Cubs & Scouts are u;, the sun is shining (for now 😬); Chris is having a shave; there are cute, weird bugs about and breakfast is on its way!

Blummin good fire today, if I do say so myself 🤣 But I'm dreadful at remembering to take photos, so here's one of the demolished Dutch-oven-French-toast-bread&butterpudding-like-deliciousness we made! Cubs also had smores & hot choc. Sorry if they went home a bit sugar high!

Fire lighting practise and bread-on-a-stick tonight with Cubs. No time for smores or hot chocolate. Maybe next week! Fantastic parent help tonight, thank you so much!

The village heath workparty has put up the bird boxes the Cubs made, this morning. Bat boxes too! Looking great. Well done Cubs!

Final bracken bashing with Cubs. It is working, bracken everywhere else is 2m tall! Played an ecosystem game where C was a sparrowhawk and then one about echo-location with a bat and a moth. That one may have needed more explanation, but they had fun 🤣

More bracken trampling tonight for Cubs: before, showing what we're doing is working; after, all the new bits flattened; and the path in showing how high it is everywhere else! Then into the woods for Imogen to talk all about the Wood Wide Web - absolutely fascinating science!

All packed up and ready to go. Great weekend. The Scouts have been fab. Tidy tent award went to Ben H & Benji Scouts of camp went to Rufus, James & Daniel. But tbh they've all been great and it was hard to choose.

It is a tad hot and humid 🥵 Scouts on the water. Tents are down in case it rains. There's a horse fly which thinks I might be food 🤨
