As a Vikings fan two things can be true
Collective QB play was obviously not great last year, but Justin Jefferson also had a down year
2025 was pretty clearly the worst year of Justin Jefferson’s career (imo) and it wasn’t just due to quarterback play
He even posted himself at one point on an IG story “need to get back to 2022 Jets”

Vikings Twitter believes that JJ McCarthy created all of Justin Jefferson's drops by 'throwing too hard', so I compiled them all here. By my count, Jefferson dropped 7 from JJ & 2 from Wentz in 2025. 5 more were NOT drops, but peak Jettas probably grabs them. Film don't lie.

@TheBrohioan Quarterback situations matter! people had Adams top 5 for years but he didn’t start out that way. Mike has been averaging over 1k yards ever since he step on a NFL field. The bucs have never been known to be good until Tom Brady got there that consistency speaks volume.

Whether the Vikings “QB Competition” is real or not, I think both QBs will benefit immensely from the added pressure of having someone to outperform. With better QB play, additional talent on the defensive interior, and Jennings at WR3, there’s no excuse for this team not to win in the playoffs.
