The only thing worse than Tails constantly being made into a coward and completely unheroic, are the people who justify it. Tails may not be the strongest, but he should at least show heroism even when times are tough, otherwise this line from Sonic Riders is true.

@qwertycbr2011 @hrjeix @micah4thepeople @ChocoExplsn He’s defeated Ifrit while fighting off Sonic, as well as defeated the Eggwalker solo, all without gadgets. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Sonic Advance, he helps defeat Hyper and Super Eggrobo Z without any gadgets.

That’s beside the point, Classic Sonic never does anything other than hit weak points in his games, same as Tails. So your point just didn’t make sense.

You said you’ve never seen him fight because you’re a larper. Sonic Rivals 2, Sonic Battle, Sonic Advance, SA1, Mania, etc.

@TREADYWAYTIKTOK Back up your claim for Rivals 2 with evidence. I’ve seen this same argument and asked for proof where it’s stated only ONE route is canon, countless times. What’s going to happen is, you won’t find any evidence, you’ll just pick and choose what IS, and isn’t canon.

Rivals 2 is canon but that doesn’t mean everyone’s story is canon tails doesn’t fight sonic. Or ifrit alone that’s literally impossible…same with sonic adventure tails story some of it is canon but we know tails doesnt fight knuckles or fight chaos alone its not accurate

@TailsLawyer Everyone brings up “Sonic Help me” but I think a much worse part is at the beginning when Tails is cowering from the Robots before Sonic comes in to save him. And this is before Infinite and the others even appear.

@tsar_of_sorrow This might be hard to believe, but there are games prior to the comics where Tails was fighting without tech. Tails defeating Kit without throwing a punch just proves he could win a standard fight if he wanted to.

@CrabDepress I wouldn’t say it was about Sonic being egotistical. It was Sonic seeing Nine as nobody other than Tails. Their “friendship” was founded on the fact Sonic saw him as a different person, and not as Nine. Nine never had friends before, so this realization hurt him and he felt used.

@TailsLawyer I see... I see... I have seen the argument that in-lore, everyones stories happen simultaneously so everyone could've been there at once beating Ifrit, but I haven't played the game myself so I don't know how true this is.

@landoyysz No, it just means he scales above an Ifrit that’s not even at full strength yet. Once Ifrit’s defeated, the mind control wears off. That’s not to say Ifrit is weak, it’s still very impressive considering Tails has to hold off Sonic at the same time, but again, not impossible.

@landoyysz You have to remember, Ifrit wasn’t at full strength just yet. The objective was to prevent that. This feat is only impressive because he managed to fight off Sonic’s mind control while fighting Ifrit at the same time. It’s impressive but not impossible.

@TailsLawyer I see, but wouldn't this mean every character in rivals 2 is capable of defeating an interdimensional fire monster? What about Tails being able to canonically defeat a mind controlled Sonic? I feel like this puts him up too high but no route has been confirmed canon or uncanon...

@landoyysz No, my point was, Sonic is NOT the defaulted end scene. Meaning this isn’t a “They all defeated Chaos 4 together!” Situation. Either route is equally valid, and one has never been stated more canon than the other.

@landoyysz No. People will argue against this feat by saying “Tails route isn’t canon”, but there’s no proof to back that up. It’s not a situation where no matter who you pick, Sonic is the defaulted end scene. There are genuine differences, meaning the routes are separate.
