12 characters per years for all fighting games is unrealistic and asking for it to be standard is unreasonable. You can't expect one character a month Tekken just because it exists in City of the Wolves. The scope of the games are totally different. Its awesome that City of the Wolves has the resources and backing to have one character a month and everyone would love to have a new character every month in their favourite fighting game, but lets actually be realistic, not idealistic. Production and development costs vary heavily. We should be pushing for quality over quantity anyway. I'd rather get 4 quality characters per year than push developers to double that number so the characters are less fleshed out and poorly balanced. Need I remind you, fighting games are a niche and majority are not owned by a man that could buy and sell most nations lol.
