Jos Iranin kriisi jatkuu ja eskaloituu, bensapumpulla nähtävä hinnannousu on vain yksi esimerkki erittäin haitallisista seurauksista Suomen ja Euroopan talouteen - ja Venäjän vahvistumisen ja USA:n painopistemuutoksen myötä myös turvallisuuteen. The ”peace plan” for Ukraine is a chatastrophy not only for Ukraine and it’s citizens but for all of democratic world. If we repeat the mistakes from the past such as showing weakness and ignorance in 2014 when Russia annaxed Crimea, we will find only more aggression and conflicts ahead of us. The authoritarian mindset understands only strenght and deterrence.

Who ever said Trump is “unpredictable”? He’s actually the most predictable person on earth right now. Too weak to act like a leader and apply pressure on the aggressor to make him stop the war? Today, I participated in a meeting of heads of state and government from the Coalition of the Willing in support of Ukraine. There is a strong consensus among the Coalition countries on the need to continue supporting Ukraine. Europe and the United States are further strengthening their common position. We will continue our joint efforts with Ukraine, our European colleagues, and the United States tomorrow in Washington D.C.
