In Cosmos-based chains (like Union), every token has a base denom a string like `uatom` or `uatomx`. These usually represent the smallest divisible unit of a token. - Here, they set `au` (likely short for “atomic units of Union”) as the base denom for the $U token. - This means 1 $U = 1e18 au, similar to how 1 ETH = 1e18 wei. What does this Code Change Affects: Token Configuration: Wallets, contracts, and transactions will now default to recognizing `au` as the base unit for balances, fees, and staking. App Setup/Genesis: This change likely affects the initial chain setup (`genesis.json` or `app.go`) so that everything is properly denominated for testnet or mainnet deployment.
