The same way I'm extremely hesitant to get excited when the "down by 3 VGK" look better... I will not be concerned about the "up by 4 VGK" giving up a goal.
@TalentMonopoly@allgoodlv To be fair, it's been like this against Chicago every single time aside from the COVID years. A ton of Vegas residents are from there (including me).
@SinBinVegas@dotvegasinc My 3 takeaways…
Karlsson out has a major impact down the middle. His defense neutralizes the best of the opposition
Stone out reduces a once lethal PP to a just above average PP
Turnovers from careless lackadaisical passes in the neutral zone lead to implosion

1) There’s always been a good resilience from this team and we see it all the time in their comebacks. However, they are not resilient when it comes to stopping the bleeding. Too often they allow goals to stack on top of each other.
2) Dowd and C. Smith both had pretty solid games. Strong on the kill, spent a lot of time out there against the good players, and yet it still didn’t change the game script we’ve seen over and over again.
3) Filip Gustavsson made that game feel more lopsided than it should have. But, as people keep reminding me, goalies are people too.

@SinBinVegas@SinBinVegas My, how 2 weeks can change things. Think Hutton can stay in the lineup scoring goals when a healthy Lauzon is back? Hope that trust with Cassidy has strengthened. @allgoodlv
@SinBinVegas@dotvegasinc@SinBinVegas Let the countdown begin to replacing Lauzon. Thoughts? Cassidy might like the physicality but the penalty box shall soon be renamed the Lauzon Box. Cassidy won’t stand for that. To Lauzon’s credit… he did also draw a penalty leading to a VGK goal. 🤷♂️ @allgoodlv

1) Didn’t matter how pretty it looked, VGK needed to find a way in this one, and they ultimately did not. Still trying to process how they came up short after the 3rd period and OT they played.
2) Imperfect debut for Braedan Bowman but overall he showed out quite well. Definitely deserving of a longer look.
3) The monkey is officially off Reilly Smith’s back. Now the ones need to come off the backs of Brandon Saad, Keegan Kolesar, and Colton Sissons. (And the team’s.)

Jacob Misiorowski threw just 52% of his pitches for strikes against the Reds last Friday.
Through 2 innings tonight, he’s thrown 77% of his pitches for strikes.
He looks very much in control.
