To this end, he held a meeting with Hon. Alier Bullen Ngong, Chairperson of the National Petroleum and Gas Commission, earlier today. He called on the Commission to do its part in safeguarding South Sudan’s most valuable resource and unlocking its full potential as a catalyst for economic growth. This engagement follows the directive of H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit, who has made it clear that the oil of South Sudan must work for the people - not just as a vision, but as a lived experience. Hon. Alier Bullen Ngong affirmed the Commission’s full alignment with the directive and outlined their strategy to transform South Sudan’s petroleum wealth into a reliable engine for economic transformation and service delivery. The government is committed to turning our oil wealth into a true national blessing - driving job creation, infrastructure development, and improved public services for all citizens.
