If they don’t look like Laestragonians, don’t fight like Laestragonians then why call them Laestragonians?

I believe these are the reinforcements that the cicones call after Odysseus crew sacked their city, the reinforcements were describe as “stronger, More skilled in war for they could fight and larger in numbers” also where they fought was described as “near the ships”.

People are speculating that these are Laestrygonians.. me personally believe that these are the cicones, my main reason for this is because the Laestrygonians don’t actually “fight” odyssey crew with melee’s nor did more then 5 people even step on the island of the giants, 1/2
