I just feel tired. Not the kind of tired that sleep helps. Just... tired. I don't really know how to explain. It's a physical tired but also emotional exhaustion. #PMDD feels a lot like #autistic burn out sometimes 😞

@JessSeaCo Thanks for asking. I am doing... okay. My goal for next year is to really try and address the PMDD, it's just been put to the side for too long and it's very difficult to build up good time when every couple of weeks... hormones! How're you doing??

Elon is shit but you're perpetuating misinformation saying autistic people are too socially anxious to do this. Autistic people are all different which is important to remember, dont use "we" use "I".

Lots of people do that when they're excited, overwhelmed etc. and they're not dip shits, they're stimming. Elon is a tosser for far more important shit than this.

@RecklessMoxie @AVintenAuthor Yes. It doesn't have to escalate all the way to rape either. Sexual touching when someone is unconscious happens a lot but people only (sometimes) consider it an issue if it gets to rape. Both are wrong and there definitely needs to be more education about this.

Men raping their wives/partners during sleep is *COMMON* It is not the exception. It is the norm. It is something I heard every day whilst supporting domestic abuse victims. Women are often gaslit into believing it isn’t rape. IT IS RAPE.

@AVintenAuthor I woke up frozen. Eventually moved slightly to let him know I was awake and he stopped. Everyone thought he was a saint because he "put up" with my trauma and lack of intimacy and requests to sleep separately. Idk, id rather he broke up with me than contribute to my trauma 😖

@AVintenAuthor My ex tried this. Ironically he'd also warned me once about being drunk and passing out in my friends bed saying anything could've happened. He was supporting me through my PTSD from childhood trauma. The one night I let him sleep beside me he tried to insert his fingers.

@galaxibrain444 Yes! I always say if I'm up and moving I need to get whatever I can down because once I sit, I know I'm stuck for a good while. The transitions between any activities is really really hard. Any tips 😭

I am not hyperactive or under active. I have autistic inertia. If I sit still I can't stop sitting still, and if I move it's hard to stop moving. It's a transition thing.

@DrCarolJasper To be honest this makes me realize I still have hope. The system has been rough and sometimes when I talk about it I know I'm being very bitter. But I don't believe things like this which I think shows I still have hope and believe there are some good eggs in the system!

@DrCarolJasper 🤣 what a joke. That makes zero sense. The mental health system is very flawed, I've got PTSD from it but I can still recognize that this is total tripe.

@FreudandBeyond No. Friends and family (if you have them) are for trivial problems of the week. People go to counseling for all kinds of reasons; relationships, grief, big life changes, etc - none of which are "trivial".

Counseling is discussing trivial problems of the week and problem solving. Psychotherapy involves character work and requires a case formulation about who somebody is and why. And psychotherapy revolves around a relationship and frequent talks about therapeutic interactions.

@LukeTurnerEsq @sendvictorious I think she was just setting boundaries. It's a pretty clear you're not forgiven, don't contact me again? Which is fair enough. Boundaries are important, she's obviously been doing a lot of therapy and doesn't want this person bringing up all this stuff again.
