A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Florida and Georgia until 5 PM EDT

Here's a timing graphic for the arrival of initial squall line today. This is medium confidence as event will likely be multiple rounds w/individual cells forming behind main line, leading to possibly numerous storms. Severe threat also lingers into Fri for SE Big Bend. 🕖⛈️

6:50 AM Radar- Line of severe storms continues to move east very slowly. This line has a history of producing widespread tree damage.

5:10 AM- The entire line of storms has a severe thunderstorm warning on it with a tornado warning just issued for Mitchell and Worth County. This line has been producing WIDESPREAD TREE DAMAGE across all counties it has moved through.

The Storm Prediction Center updated their Day 1 outlook and the only change for our area was they shifted the Enhanced risk south and now covers all of Tallahassee and Valdosta. This confirms our forecast of the line remaining severe overnight.

The Storm Prediction Center's latest Convective Outlook upgraded most of our area to an Enhanced Risk (orange) for severe weather today. We will continue to provide frequent updates.
