A lot of this is on Craig Albernaz. One-run high leverage game. Bullpen was completely fresh after an off day + a Baz 7-inning start. Garcia, Nunez, and Cano were all available. And he went with Akin… his worst reliever #Birdland

@jcalvinmeyer It is UNACCEPTABLE how many games the poor defense has caused this team. This one’s not over yet… but completely unacceptable and heads will have to roll if it doesn’t improve.

Kyle Bradish's three-run inning should have been a clean inning. The Orioles' infield assumes Zack Gelof is going to bunt, and Gunnar Henderson starts running to third. Instead, Gelof swings away, and his grounder right where Henderson was standing goes for an RBI single.

I don’t understand not hiring a GM. Pope is basically taking people who already worked at UK and giving them new titles….and then adding an outside analytics guy It still is missing the key person, the negotiator/Agent connection, that I think has hurt UK But it’s his call

Ton of respect for Coby’s effort and how he’s tried to approach this challenge. But the Orioles have known since last season he’s not a big league third baseman. He’s in a tough spot, and the team has left him there too long.

@__KerryLyn130 He should’ve been traded before ever being given a chance! He was always blocked! The only reason he’s getting regular at bats is bc JH and JW are hurt! Before that Ohearn and Mounty were blocking him. It makes no sense. He was a T10 prospect. They could’ve gotten a HAUL back.

We can debate forever if Mayo will ever be who we think he’s going to be, but this falls on Elias and his roster management and player/prospect development & refusal to prioritize defense. I also think this falls on both sides. Mayo has had his chances & should’ve been traded. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Orioles Perhaps the biggest screw up was not trading Mayo 2 years ago. He can’t play 3rd in the bigs. Could barely pass in the minors. He’s 1st baseman. Was blocked by Ohearn then they signed Alonso. Huge misstep. His value plummeted. Guy was a top 10 prospect!

The Orioles' defense just made another blunder to allow Trent Grisham to take third base after his double. Leody Taveras' throw from CF one-hopped cutoff man Gunnar Henderson. When Henderson went to scoop the ball, it kicked away from him, allowing Grisham to take 3B.

@OriolesStatist1 This manager is an auraless sack of potatoes. Knew it the second I saw him. I get he’s not setting the lineups or anything like that, but he has no presence. He doesn’t swing a big stick. It showed before this series ever started, the team and everyone knew a sweep was coming
