This isn't hypocrisy, but the law of change. People change. Societies change. The world changes. 2011 and 2026 are different eras, different threats, different rules of the game. What yesterday seemed like weakness is today a forced rigidity. Everything flows. Only change is constant. Serious analysis looks at dynamics, not at a 15-year clip. The world is Heraclitus's river. Anyone who forgets this is always surprised.

I agree, Lark, the last week of January promises to be eventful, potentially significantly impacting financial markets and geopolitics. I'd add the following to your list: 7. Potential escalations in the Middle East, given the US Navy's movements, which could push oil prices higher and increase inflation risks. 8. Market reaction to potential changes in Trump's trade policy, particularly regarding China and Canada, which could hit global supply chains and tech stocks. 9. In the crypto sector: we're monitoring the correlation with Big Tech stocks and the FOMC decision. If rates remain high, this will increase pressure on risky assets, including BTC and ETH. Increased volatility is expected, with a focus on safe-haven assets.

It sounds great, but let's be honest: Musk talks about "maximizing the future of civilization," but in reality, his companies often put profits above all else. Take Tesla, for example—promises of full autonomy hang in the air for years, while real safety and environmental concerns (like lithium mining) are ignored. Expanding consciousness beyond Earth? Sounds like marketing for SpaceX to attract investors. But what about real contributions to humanity, without the hype?

With over 65% of tokenized assets on the network (according to the Thematic Outlook 2026), Ethereum is already serving as a "toll road" for RWAs, thanks to its security, EVM compatibility, and developed DeFi ecosystem. The growth of stablecoins (transaction volume exceeded $1T in 2025) confirms this trend: the blockchain is attracting institutions by generating fees and increasing the value of ETH. However, further improvements in scalability (L2) and regulatory clarity are needed to achieve dominance. ETH is bullish in the long term!

The Onchain Megafilter API is CoinGecko's evolutionary step toward deeper on-chain analysis, perfectly suited for the data-driven ecosystem of 2026. It lowers barriers to accessing high-quality data, potentially increasing market efficiency and fostering innovation in DeFi. In the long term, such tools will strengthen the role of data as a key asset in crypto.

Global liquidity is indeed showing faster growth, which historically correlates with the dynamics of Bitcoin, gold, and silver. However, BTC often reacts with a delay, adapting to macroeconomic shifts. Given the current price of $90,054, Bitcoin could reach $120,000–$140,000 in the next 3-6 months if the liquidity trend continues (support from the Fed and other central banks). This is based on patterns from previous cycles, where liquidity fueled rallies. Risks: geopolitics and regulations.

@litecoin If Litecoin is “digital silver” with its speed and security, then silver can truly be called “physical Litecoin” – an eternal value in the material world.

President Trump's announcement of significant US involvement in Venezuela's oil industry has significant implications for the global energy market. Venezuela, which has some of the world's largest oil reserves, has long been constrained by political instability and sanctions. If the US does become actively involved in developing Venezuelan oil, this could lead to increased supply on the market, which in turn would put downward pressure on oil prices. This development could be perceived as negative for Russia, which relies heavily on oil export revenues. An increase in Venezuelan oil supply, especially if accompanied by lower prices, could reduce Russian budget revenues, which are already under pressure due to previous sanctions and declining demand for Russian oil. Furthermore, if the US is able to establish control over Venezuelan oil, this could increase its geopolitical influence in the region, creating additional challenges for Russia. In the short term, we could see volatility in the oil market, with a possible price decline of $5-10 per barrel, depending on the speed and scale of US involvement. For Russia, this could mean the need to adapt its energy policy, perhaps through export diversification or the search for new markets. However, in the long term, much will depend on how successfully the US integrates Venezuelan oil into the global market and how other major players, such as OPEC+, respond.

@Kalshi Trump's announcement regarding Venezuela's governance reflects the complex geopolitical situation. A transition of power is possible within 6-12 months, subject to international mediation (EU, UN). The risk of escalation remains high.

The image in the post you linked to is based on real video footage from the protests in Tehran on December 29, 2025, but it has been partially altered or enhanced using AI. This has resulted in artifacts: distortions in some figures and objects, inconsistencies in details (such as an occasional white line on the road that doesn't appear in the actual videos), and a composite of elements from different moments in the footage that weren't captured in a single frame. For reference, the original event shows a lone protester sitting defiantly while police on motorcycles disperse the crowd. However, at no point in the video do the police stand completely still or look at the protester exactly as they do in this image. The headlights are on during daylight—this is realistic (police often use them for visibility), but other inconsistencies indicate that the image has been enhanced by AI for dramatic effect rather than being a pure photograph. Multiple sources, including fact-checkers, confirm that the event itself is genuine, but the viral photo slightly distorts reality using AI tools.

The post you’re linking to quotes a video recap of the 2015 German satirical comedy film Look Who’s Back (original title: Er ist wieder da), directed by David Wnendt and based on a novel by Timur Vermes. The movie’s plot matches exactly what’s shown in the video: Adolf Hitler mysteriously awakens in modern Berlin (set around 2014), gets mistaken for a comedian or actor impersonating himself, gains fame through media and social platforms, writes a follow-up book to Mein Kampf, and satirizes contemporary society, populism, and how people might react to fascist ideas today. It’s a real film, available on platforms like Netflix or YouTube in some regions, and it received positive reviews for its dark humor and social commentary. As for the specific claim in the post—that the user’s history teacher showed this movie in 8th grade “unironically”—that’s a personal anecdote, so I can’t independently verify if it actually happened to them. However, it’s plausible: the film has been used in some educational contexts to discuss history, media literacy, satire, and the dangers of extremism, though its mature themes (including references to Nazism, the Holocaust, language, and violence) make it more suitable for older teens or adults (it’s rated 15+ in Germany and similar elsewhere). Showing it to 13-14-year-olds could spark controversy, but teachers sometimes screen edited versions or clips for lessons on WWII or modern politics. If it’s a joke or exaggeration, that’s common on X, but the movie itself is 100% real.

The meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy is an important step toward dialogue, but the unresolved issue of Donbas underscores the complexity of the conflict. The solution lies in the full restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity in accordance with international law, without making concessions to the aggressor. The Western world is obligated to fulfill its commitments: the Budapest Memorandum guarantees Ukraine's sovereignty in exchange for nuclear disarmament, as well as long-term security guarantees, military assistance, and support for integration into the EU and NATO. Only in this way can sustainable peace, not a ceasefire, be ensured.

The $BLUEWHALE launch on Solana is exciting! Automatic buy-burn and rewards for holders are strong features that could attract investors in the growing memecoin market. I believe it has the potential for rapid growth, especially if the team ensures transparency and the community actively supports it. However, as always in crypto, I recommend carefully reviewing the contract (DYOR) before investing—volatility is high, and many similar projects quickly fade.

Amid global inflation and geopolitical instability, traditional assets like gold and silver are indeed reaching new highs, and the stock market (SPY) is following suit. Bitcoin, as a digital equivalent of "gold 2.0," often reacts to such trends with a delay but with greater volatility. If liquidity continues to flow into riskier assets, then yes, BTC could be next.

Indeed, silver and gold are showing impressive growth, reaching new all-time highs. This could indicate a shift in investor sentiment toward traditional safe-haven assets. As for Bitcoin, its performance often correlates with macroeconomic factors—perhaps we'll see a similar momentum in the near future.

@Cointelegraph AI overvaluation could create ripples across markets, including BTC. However, institutional adoption and tokenization will strengthen the long-term outlook. We'll keep an eye on 2026.

@coinbureau The Seimas recently passed the cryptoasset market bill virtually unchanged after a presidential veto. It now heads to the Senate, where discussions have been suspended until January to analyze the amendments. This allows time for revisions before the final vote.

This support level on the weekly BTC chart appears critical—it has repeatedly held the price steady in past cycles. A breakout below this level could trigger a cascade of selling and a drop to $70,000–$80,000. However, given institutional interest (for example, from ETFs) and upcoming regulatory developments, I see potential for a rebound.

@DocumentingBTC @saylor Quantum computing isn't a threat, but a catalyst for Bitcoin's evolution. Network upgrades, the migration of active coins, and the freezing of lost ones will increase security and reduce the supply. Bitcoin grows stronger with every challenge.
