Louisiana is 33% Black — second only to Mississippi. New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport are three of the Blackest major cities in America. SCOTUS just killed their second majority-Black district yesterday, so they’ll probably end up with one Black rep out of six. A state that’s one-third Black getting basically 17% Black representation? Fine, apparently. Now flip it to New England: New England is also ~30-33% Republican — same exact percentage as Louisiana’s Black population. But New England has zero Republican House members. Out of 21 seats. None. Same numbers. Different rules. One side gets dragged to the Supreme Court for “racism.” The other side just gets to keep the all-Democratic monopoly and call it democracy.

The Trump administration is pulling off the greatest grift we’ve seen in our lifetime.
