You are right that professional athletes don’t need to be motivated to work hard, what I mean by motivator is the guys to want to win for him because they know how much he cares and has has invested into them as players!

100%. The best in the world at anything have failed countless times. We like to sit here and criticize all the time but forget that professional athletes and coaches are humans too. I’m just saying what I know about him as a man and a coach and why I think he’s a great fit!

@KevinBuffalo @Tanner4Gentry @AaronQuinn716 Most coaches failed as a HC elsewhere before landing the job that propelled them to what they became. Levy, Belichick - the list is endless. I don’t know what you think, say, Vince Lombardi would’ve done with the Giants the last four years.

Coach Daboll WANTS to be in Buffalo and bring a Super Bowl to the city he grew up in. This on top of everything I mentioned that he brings to the table as a coach. Why bring a brand new face in that knows nothing about the organization or how much the organization means to WNY?

He is the farthest thing from being soft on his players, what I meant by 17 loving him is that he coaches him hard and he appreciates that.

@Tanner4Gentry My best coach I ever had was an asshole who worked me like crazy, but I improved massively and the team played like a true unit. My worst coach was a guy who wanted to be friends with all of us and didnt hold anyone accountable. Hopefully Daboll would find the right balance

Experience does matter and they will be evaluating everything during this process. There are a lot of good candidates as there is every year, but what coach can you bring in that knows 17 inside and out, knows what this team means to Buffalo since he grew up and coached here.

@Tanner4Gentry I wouldn't mind the hire but I wish they would at least talk to Tomlin, Kubiak with Seattle and maybe even Mike McCarthy. I prefer someone that has been a head coach before.

This is a tough dynamic, D Webb has a bright future coaching in this league and it’s not a matter of if but when he becomes a HC. Him & 17 are friends which could be interesting, but at the end of the day which coach has the experience and leadership to get this team to a SB.
