It’s utterly absurd that barn red Indiana has one of the highest gas taxes in the country. Hoosiers deserve better.

Indiana District Senate seat 39 is an open seat for the May 5th primary with 3 candidates vying for the seat. Tanner Bouchie, Jeff Ellington, and Kristi Risk. Tanner Bouchie was the first to come out in support of redistricting, Ellington followed suit, I have not heard Kristi Risk's position on redistricting, but will find out. I am no fan of Senate Pro-Tem RINO Rod Bray who opposed redistricting. I've met all 3 candidates because District 39 represents my area. I encourage Republican voters in Indiana to vett their candidates to insure we have the best representation of the interests of Indiana and President Trump's America First agenda!

@DadInFW "They" who voted for it were the General Assembly of 2017. Hoosiers cannot hold them accountable. Setting tax levels is a legislative function. Delegating the process to the DOR serves only to evade accountability to voters.

@TannerBouchie They voted to allow the DOR to raise the tax monthly based on the parameters set in the code. They could change that at any time during any session if they want.

Reminder: IN's gas tax is determined by the average retail price (minus taxes) for the last month closing on the 15th. It was 15.3 cents for March. Assuming prices are still ~$3.50/gal come Sunday, the April rate may increase as much as another 5 cents/gallon.
