@Kailynn_Wyffels This video shows a great assistive device! As the individual looks to have loss most function in his hands, he is able to speak into a device which allows the computer to type it out for him. This allows him the able to go back to school and do things he needs to do.

@abbyy_jacksonn I enjoyed watching this video and found it interesting that his tremors stopped for a few seconds when bouncing a tennis ball. This allowed him to focus on catching the ball instead of his tremors.

@docgoble The frontal cortex helps make decisions and receives information from other areas of the brain. This part of the brain allows the girl to plan for movement, as we saw in the video. As the girl sees the ball coming to her, she decides to try to catch it. (:14)

@docgoble Vestibular: As he is getting ready to jump and hit the volleyball, he needs to stay balanced before taking off to hit the ball. Without balance his vision and coordination would be off when trying to hit it. Having good balance in sports is very important! (:07)

@Kailynn_Wyffels I enjoy working out and found your video interesting. When they ran the test using the bicep muscle starting with no weight vs with weight was smart. When the individual started to move his arm, you could see the motor units firing more with weight than without.

#Exs3030 This video shows the biomechanics of movement by assessing when muscles are active using EMG. They perform a lower limb muscle experiment and analyze the data. youtu.be/pYnZzQ0D_Bs?si…

@kendallbinfet Hello Kendall, I really enjoyed your video! I don’t know much about lacrosse but it is kind of similar to baseball in a movement aspect. Just like baseball, you need to have good hip-shoulder separation to produce tension, which provides power. 91 mph lacrosse shot is crazy!!

I’m taking #EXS3030 @OaklanduSHS with @docgoble because I’m very interested in the human body when it comes to movement. As a guy that loves sports, I find it intriguing how the body moves in many different ways. This course will also give me a baseline as I pursue my career.
