“Veg thali ₹120, sir.” 🍛
I ate peacefully and thought I’d pay before reaching Bangalore.
But just before the station arrived, the staff came with a smile:
“Sir, total bill ₹950.”
I paused.
Something felt seriously wrong.
So I asked for the bill.
Suddenly:
“Sir… billing machine not working.”
Interesting. 🙂
I didn’t argue.
I simply said,
“No problem. Please call your manager and show me the official IRCTC rate list.”
And guess what?
Within 10 minutes…
The same ₹950 magically became ₹648. ✨
Funny how systems start working when customers start asking questions.
Most overcharging works for one reason:
People stay silent.
Always ask for:
✔️ Proper bill
✔️ Official rates
✔️ Proof of charges
Because awareness saves more money than arguments ever will. 🚆
