Saying Pep Guardiola is successful just because of spending is a lazy argument. Look at his signings and how he’s maximized most of them that’s where the real coaching shows. It’s not just about buying good players, it’s about elevating them. Take Kevin De Bruyne, he was already good at Wolfsburg, but under Pep he became one of the most complete midfielders in football history. His positioning, decision-making, and consistency went to another level. Look at Raheem Sterling. At Liverpool he had raw talent but poor end product. Under Pep, he turned into a reliable goal scorer with elite movement in the box. John Stones was written off as error-prone, but Pep reshaped him into a hybrid defender-midfielder, comfortable stepping into midfield something very few centre-backs can do at that level. Even someone like İlkay Gundogan became more than just a tidy midfielder. Pep turned him into a clutch goal scorer, especially in big moments. And then there’s Rodri, not the flashiest signing at the time, but now arguably the most important player in that team. His understanding of space, tempo, and control is a direct reflection of Pep’s system. People act like money guarantees success, but football history says otherwise. Clubs have spent just as much or more and failed. What Pep does is create a system where players don’t just fit, they improve. His teams don’t rely on individual brilliance alone, they function on structure, patterns, and intelligence. That doesn’t come from money that comes from coaching. So it’s not just spending. It’s spending with vision, coaching with detail, and maximizing talent to its highest level. Except Haaland, he rarely even signs the best players in the market, he just maximize them to the best. Rodri, Sterling, Sane, Stones put them in other teams and they would likely have flopped, but with Pep he Maximizes player to the best of their abilities.

How Pep Guardiola has been able to turn the season around for Man City to be in position for Domestic Treble just shows how good he is, levels and miles above everyone in the league.

Saying he spend money every season is a lazy argument, everyone spend money, Arsenal went to buy Madueke, Chelsea bought Garnacho, Man City bought Semenyo, All premier league proven, the difference is he’s given his own players a system to flourish to be the best, that’s Coaching. He’s the greatest Coach in EPL for sure.

Yes, we are Xenophobic. That's why 14 South African soldiers died in Congo in 2025 fighting for the people of Congo. When Nigerians kidnapped 200 girls, the African Union did nothing When Zimbabwe massacred its people, the African Union did nothing, but South Africa stepped up and gave Zimbabweans ZEP, for them to live and work in South Africa. We have been giving Africans asylums, and today, we are labeled as haters of Africans. We are overcrowed, disrespected by the same people we extended our hands when their leaders abused and killed them. Le ungrateful le marete.

In as much as Nico O’Reilly has been on form, the DM role is way off for him. You can tell we’re really struggling to progress the ball & control games. Nico G would’ve been a more logical choice.

Why is Guardiola allergic to admitting quickly when something isn’t working and changing it 😭? Win or not it’s obvious that that midfield isn’t working .

Pep said he selected the team with Burnley’s strengths in mind, and fair enough, I respect that. But I’m not entirely sold on the idea that Nico G wouldn’t have helped nullify those exact strengths, especially considering the last time we faced Burnley and dismantled them 5-1, he was the absolute heartbeat of that midfield. He was instrumental that day. That said, Pep evidently knows better than any of us and his reasoning will have far more tactical depth than what’s visible on the surface. Fingers crossed we get the win tonight, because that’s all that matters for us.

Crying out for Nico Gonzalez. The amount of second balls being lost in midfield is so poor.

Seeing a lot of noise on the timeline about Nico Gonzalez not starting but this feels like a misread of the game state. Against a deep, passive Burnley block, control doesn’t come from a traditional destroyer. It comes from structure, rotations and technical security in advanced areas. Pep Guardiola isn’t leaving a gap. He’s shifting the pressure higher up the pitch through Rayan Aït-Nouri. Less about protection, more about suffocation. Trust the plan. 💙

I’ll be real. I think most Arsenal fans are delusional. They think their club is bigger than Real Madrid and that their players are the best ever. Nothing could be further from the truth. But they are still a big club. Chelsea, however, are not a big club. You cannot be a big club with only 6 league titles. I’m sorry, you just can’t. How can you be a big club when clubs like Sunderland, Villa or Everton look down on you?
