Both teams had an assortment of colors in the lighter and a darker version of that color. What do the rules say? This is based on RULE 4 of the soccer governing rules.

A match in the Regional League (old name Castle League) was not played as the colors of socks clashed. The jerseys were distinguishable. Both teams and referees agreed to play but the 4th official refused citing the color clash.
