Developer ID verification infuriates me. Only reason I kept using Android was because it's more open compared to Apple's walled garden, and yet Google wants to control the way we use our phones? I'm all for freedom and anonymity for both devs and users. We must push back.

MateEngine is like Desktop Mate, but it supports custom models without having to mod the program itself, among many others. No need to buy charas for $15 each. It is free to download on GitHub if you want to try it out. Though if you do want to get it on Steam, it costs $5.49.

I hear MateEngine has custom shader support, meaning VRChat avatars converted to VRM can have their original Liltoon/Poiyomi shaders back in that program, just like in Warudo. If people are interested, I can offer conversions to MateEngine in the future.

what i learned after being introverted for most of my life is most people don’t actually dislike introverts they dislike not having immediate access to us “why are you so quiet?” because i don’t treat every silence like an emergency “you should talk more” maybe you should ask better questions small talk? sometimes fine sometimes it feels like paying rent just to exist in the room group conversations? 90% waiting for someone to stop performing 10% me wondering why i even came “come on, don’t be shy” i’m not shy i just don’t have the urge to turn every thought into live entertainment people think introverts are hard to read but usually we read the room too fast we notice who needs attention who is forcing charisma who is talking just to avoid dead air who becomes weird the moment things get real that’s why we get tired not because people are “too much” but because fake energy is loud “you never text first” true but when i do, it actually means something “you disappear for days” yes that’s called recovering from being socially available against my will office culture? rewarding the loudest person in the room networking? adult small talk with a business card parties? fun for one hour then suddenly i need to go home and stare at a wall in silence dating? half of it is pretending to be more available, more talkative, more effortless than you really are and the funniest part is introverts usually know exactly how to socialize we just know how exhausting it is to perform constantly so after a while we stop doing it for free being introverted is not the problem the problem is living in a world that mistakes constant self-display for personality maybe introverts aren’t too quiet maybe we just see too clearly how much of modern social life is built on noise, performance, and fear of silence what do people still get completely wrong about introverts?

Ugh.. Don't remind me... It's like self-employment or entrepreneurship is the only way out of this quarter-life crisis. Frankly, I'm tired of this shit. I want to carve my own path, do it my own way instead of dealing with every application, ghosting, and rejection in life.

Raycasting in VRC is quite interesting. All these examples of avatars having their hands and fingers flat against the desk, as well as those having their breasts press against the wall might motivate me to try figuring it out. Who knows... someone might benefit from this.

Not to mention thanks to Burnt Joker and several Mercury cards, I brought Pair to level 30. I was forced to use it due to a Half Joker I had earlier until I beat ante 8, and only decided to get rid of it when I got Supernova, back when I used Pair 41 times.

A big achievement for me... getting to ante 12 for the first time in Balatro thanks to these five Jokers. Supernova was at +45 Mult, and Yorick was at x10, which Blueprint copied. Abstract was there to help when I want to end with a pair involving a lucky polychrome Spade Queen.

Sometimes I feel that I want your attention a lot more than I should be asking, but I just quietly feel it and wait for you when you're not occupied. I know I'm acting like a child at times, and I'm sorry if there are moments I easily get sad when you are doing something all of a sudden. I don't want to make you feel like I'm being too clingy or being an attention-seeker, I just want to feel your presence and talk to you whenever possible. I know that before all of this, I was used to not seeking attention or just wanting to be left alone, but when you came along, it seemed like I wanted that kind of attention only from you. Perhaps this is the kind of love and affection that hit me deeply; that I just want things or stuff when it has to do with you, to feel your love, to feel your existence. Because your existence was a gift for me, a gift that comes with your kind of love. I love you deeply and adore you always.

Check in on your friends, please? Sometimes people will try to look fine but deep down its nothing but internal conflict in the head and try not to choke up and mess up, making sure they stop being a bother to anyone and sit alone in their thoughts (I dont wanna get used to this)

I just managed to reduce a Booth avatar from 329k polygons to just 60k. it was a huge surprise but I managed to bring it down from Very Poor to Good rank thanks to combining and optimizing textures, merging meshes, and reducing PhysBones. It took a lot of work, but I did it...

Now it does depend heavily on the design on the avatar. Some clients with busier designs will take a lot more to optimize compared to others. In the end, the main goal for optimization is to make avatars more performant than pretty. I just need to find the "sweet spot."

With Avatar Performance Gate lobbies launching on VRChat, there will be a demand for more optimized avatars going forward. I managed to optimize most of the male models I worked with heavily down to Medium rank. For the female avatars, I optimized them mostly to Poor rank.

But the fact that so many male users in VRChat choose female avatars shows just how much more complicated the reality is. 1. Being liked by others often matters more than expressing yourself. Cute anime girl avatars have a built-in social advantage. They are more likely to attract attention, affection, and interaction. 2. Many people are not buying self-expression. They are buying a doll or a figure. Choosing an avatar is not always about projecting your real self. Sometimes it is simply about using an image you personally like. 3. It may not be that much about gender at all. At its core, it works more like a community fashion signal. A lot of people buy and use these avatars simply because it helps them fit into the group more easily and stay aligned with its taste and style.
