The lack of leadership commitment is a real issue in securing support and resources for EDI, said Nada Genadry, Chief Human Resources Officer at Siren Associates. Nada then shared her experience in rallying leadership support for EDI

A key challenge is that EDI is complex and context specific. Businesses need to invest money and resources if they want to achieve meaningful impact, said Charoula Tzanakou, Director of the Center for Diversity Policy Research and Practice, Oxford Brookes Business School.

Academic institutions can develop solid theoretical frameworks that resonate well with the needs of the companies, said Carolina Wienand, Researcher Associate at Fraunhofer Institute for System and Innovation Research / Inspire Project
