Wrapped my time in D.C. with an honor of a lifetime. Today in the Pentagon, my dear friend and our former state senator Brian Birdwell was sworn in as Assistant Secretary of Defense. Sen. Birdwell has dedicated his entire life to selfless service and defending our nation! #usa🇺🇸

@TarletonPrez @TarletonState Hey, Dr. Hurley. Is Tarleton Beach Volleyball remaining in Conference USA? I haven't seen anything to indicate the UAC was adding beach volleyball.

Thankful for the hard work and support of many congressional staffers that support our federal grant efforts @TarletonState. We had three days of incredible meetings to layout our FY27 priorities and proposals. Big things ahead! #BleedPurple

While the FCS Week 0 slate is underwhelming this year and a big missed opportunity by the FCS with a 3-day spotlight mostly to itself ... this is a great matchup. Prairie View A&M went 10-4 last year and lost a heartbreaker in the Celebration Bowl. Tarleton finished 12-2 and lost a close one in the quarterfinals. It'll air on ESPN2. #FCS
